Erectile dysfunction medicines seized in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been taken by of Health officials throughout a search of a house in Glengormley.
A man was spoken with by department officers about illegally importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medications by means of the web.
The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.
He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: "It is vital that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be unsafe.
"These types of products being sold, generally online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no assurance about their security.
"You simply do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More importantly, you do not know the effect drugs like this may have on your health."
