The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.
But this year, as protests across the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has come into .
In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one business is making the most of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving profitable too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
